There are so many questions arise when we are in times of distress. When we experience difficulties in life. It seems life is unfair. Is really life unfair? Why poor people always suffer discrimination socially, economically in the society. Poor people are being neglected by the government? Why these kind of people experienced injustice? Do these people have no right to dream, to achieve their goals? I believe they have goals in life like we do. They are a normal human being that has the freedom to fly. They want to soar their own wings. But sometimes, this hopeless people want to try soaring themselves nevertheless others want to heave them down. They drag those helpless and take their wing off. They want to ruin these poor people.
I already heard a lot of stories about raped cases especially teenager girls. I was confounded to hear these stories again and again. And I really ask myself if.... does God really cares for those poor, hopeless and helpless people? Is there justice for these kind of victims? At this point, I just utter a prayer... that God will show mercy with the victims. Because, if they will not acclaim righteousness here on earth, they cannot run from the wrath of God those ungodly people. The truth that we could not denied is we cannot run away from the judgement set before us. We are all accountable of what we did.
A couple of weeks ago my heart grieved to hear that one of the teenagers in the community where we are engage for a community development project was raped. It was so shocking and I couldn't believe it. This girl used to go to the center and spent her leisure time. This young little girl lives in the slum area. I felt distressed to what I heard. Lord may your comfort be upon this girl, was a simple prayer I offered to God. At first her family tried to report the case to the police. But later on, we just heard that her family kept silent right now. The sad thing we knew was the suspect give them money just to closed the case.I know this situation happens most of the time especially underprivileged people. Does God cares for them? Absolutely, YES! God cares for them. The Bible says, Vengeance is mine says the Lord. We need to trust God. It maybe a nightmare the rest of once life but we are assured of God embrace is upon those who are hopeless and helpless. We just pray that the incident happened be a turning point for these community to learn to trust God.
